no strings attached…

…just a 20 inch gold filled chain.

thats right people i have this necklace that i made with a one of a kind pendant that i don’t want to sell, i want to give it away….and seeing that it is “cyber monday” which i still have no idea what that exactly means, i thought today would be a great day to do this. i do think that today there are alot of online deals like 25% off or buy one get on free or free shipping. but i am pretty sure there isn’t a “email me and get a free necklace” deal going on.

this would be your only chance to get this, it is not something i will sell on my etsy page.

you are probably thinking “i want that” and then next you are wondering “how do i get  in on that action?”

here are the steps to make this happen:

1. email me at sure you spell jewelry correct) the subject line say something like “pick me” or “free necklace” or “i craft my pants too” or “thank you”  or “i love you” but don’t say that if you really don’t love me.

3.  in the email part just give me your name and address. thats all. i mean you can always say hi…but for real just an address and name will suffice.

how will i determine the winner?

good question.

the 15th email i get(that’ s right, i think… actually, i hope 15 people will respond to this post) will be the winner…and note that it’s an email you send, not a comment you leave on my blog(i just want to clarify so people are not leaving their addresses on this website)

i promise i won’t rig the contest. however, i have a hunch it will be a family member because at this point i think they are the only people who follow this blog…prove me wrong people besides my family members!

i will announce the winner when the 15th person emails me.

good luck and may the best emailer win!

3 sayings i live by.

i found these sayings online somewhere, i think it was a british website, and i only say that because when i looked to see how much the posters were the were in pounds not dollars.

so that is when i decided i will just paint them instead of purchase them, especially because i had these 3 cool wooden canvas’s.

saying number one: an apple a day, well atleast almost everyday. for some reason i don’t eat them on the weekends. is that weird?

saying number two: eat your greens, salads are definitely one of my favorite foods in the whole entire world.

saying number three: tea revives you, and i believe it, i have about 3 cups a day. it really does warm your sole….that was deep wasn’t it?

last post on my headboard, i promise.

i just want everyone to know that we have our headboard back up and running.

and by “back up and running” i mean its just behind our heads now. it’s not a machine or anything.

it’s funny because in order to fix our ” off gassing” problem we needed to put a coat of paint on the wood, and when i finished  painting i realized i painted it such a pretty color i almost didn’t want to put the fabric back on it.

maybe you don’t think thats funny, and i guess it’s not funny, maybe it’s just interesting. or maybe it is not even that. i guess it just is what it is.

no picture for this post….because i would be posting a very similar picture of the first headboard post, and by similar i mean the same exact picture.

my ears will never be cold again.

every fall this happens…i am being serious….every fall.

something in my bones tells me to get out my knitting needles, go to the local knitting store(michaels or fred meyers) and start knitting items to keep me and my friends and family warm.

to be honest with this project i just started knitting and didn’t know where i was going to end up. i had thought about just making coasters, and then i realized that i didn’t really want coasters because i don’t mind when people leave those water rings on my coffee table….thats what windex is for.

so i kept knitting……and this was the result.

here is a warning to people who i usually get christmas gifts for…

…you might get these in your stocking, or you might get snowman poop.

depends on if you made santa’s good list.

baby nash crafts his diapers.

…nash is not even born yet and he is following in my(his favorite aunts) footsteps.

i find this next post/craft to be quite humorous.

the reason it gets my goat is because the title of my blog is “destiny craft her pants” and this project i made for my sister ashley is for her son to “crap his pants” in.

do you see the correlation?

i just never thought my crafting would come to this…..and i must say that i am glad it did.

ashley will not be using these to substitute huggies diapers. this is for a photo shoot, but who knows….maybe baby nash will make his aunt proud and do what i made these knitted diapers for.

i will be sure to post the pictures ashley took in the future so you can see these bad boys in action.

it is kind of hard to take pictures of knitted diapers, but i did my best.

i think they will be much better with an infant in them.

…he is coming in 5 days.

too soon?

i realize that today is halloween and it is a little too early to be talking about christmas.

but i feel that if stores already have christmas items for sell then i can start making christmas crafts.

and that is exactly what i did.

it only set me back $1

the rebuilding center was having a sale on their window panes. the sale was that they were only $1 that day.

i had previously cut out “merry christmas” letters on cool paper. i was going to just tape them on string and make a garland out of them. but i realized that meant it would only last one christmas season because somehow the paper would break.

so when i came home from the rebuilding center with betsie(who is an amazing painter) i knew exactly what i was going to use the window pane for.(and by the way her window pane turned out awesome, i wish i had taken  a picture of it, i didn’t though.)

my  decision was to make a window pane christmas sign, instead of a christmas garland.

here are the steps i took:

1.cut out the letters( which i had done already)

2. glue them on the back of the window pane(betsie and i watched the movie french kiss with meg ryan whilst doing this)

3.waited for the glue to dry(that was the best part because betsie, avery and i went to por que no for dinner and then swirl for dessert)

4.painted grey on the back to cover the whole window pane

and thats all.

the final step is hanging it up, which i kind of wanted to do that night, however avery was not having it. i did decide where it will reside when that day comes….and that day will be a glorious one my friends.

merry christmas to all and to all a good night!
